Time lapse archive of massive turtle movement now available.

the daily gadget: the turtlecam. Using an old ipcam from the basement, installation only took minutes. Implementing the upload using ftp to get to the local server and rsync it to the webserver took a little longer. Images are collected for later timelapse video creation.

Next level is perhaps a megapixel cam with eye-fi card.

is the resolution of one of the two fulldome projectors in Planetarium Hamburg. Just went to a special event about planetarium technics. Impressive. Another thing I learned is the lecturer can use a xbox controller to travel the [known ;-)] universe which is rendered on the fly.

Navigation seemed a little hard to me and TomTom Galaxy Edition came to the mind at once :-) .. even the cheaper M-A-M edition (Milky-Way, Andromeda, Magellan) … ok, I´ll drop the thought here.
