AVCHD stuff
finally I found an intermediate solution here for importing AVCHD videos from my Samsung HMX-H105 to iMovie/FinalCut Express.
Importing the clip with correct aspect-ratio does work with iMovie 9 (optimize video: full) but interlacing settings are still wrong. So using MPEG Streamclip to encode to Apple Intermedia Codec (100%, AND NOT deinterlace) and importing the mov in iMovie takes some time but works very well.
The files get about 5-10 times larger but can be edited on the fly in iMovie/FCE directly without waiting for AVCHD decode process.
